Public Meeting #2

We want to hear from you!

The Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) is responsible for making sure that Connecticut's electric, natural gas, water, and telecommunications utilities provide safe, clean, reliable, and affordable service. To make its decisions, PURA opens formal spaces to discuss specific issues (called dockets). PURA can only make decisions based on the information that stakeholders add to a docket. To make the best decisions possible, PURA is exploring ways to bring more perspectives into the decision-making process.  This means making it easier for Connecticut ratepayers to share their expertise, lived experience, and ideas with PURA.

At this Public Meeting, attendees will get to:

  1. Learn about PURA’s role, responsibilities, and current processes, and why PURA wants to expand access.

  2. Discuss with fellow attendees recommendations to better PURA’s outreach, engagement, and website.

RSVPs are not required to attend, they simply help us plan the meeting to better meet your needs.

Doors open at 5:30pm. Meeting starts at 6pm and ends at 7:15pm.

Interpretation services are available. Spanish interpretation will be offered by default. Additional interpretation services may be requested in advance (by May 8 at 6pm ET).

Light refreshments will be provided. Menu includes water as well as snacks.

Child-focused activities will be offered. Families are welcome to attend the meeting. Child care by a licensed childcare professional will be provided so caregivers can fully participate. Caregivers will be responsible for any hygiene needs. Children must be checked in and out by the same adult and all children must be checked out before 7:25pm.

Let us know if you plan to come to the Public Meeting
