What is this issue about? PURA is responsible for making sure that Connecticut's electric, natural gas, water, and telecommunications utilities provide safe, clean, reliable, and affordable service. To make its decisions, PURA opens formal spaces to discuss specific issues (called dockets). PURA can only make decisions based on the information that stakeholders add to a docket. To make the best decisions possible, PURA is exploring ways to bring more perspectives into the decision-making process. This means making it easier for Connecticut ratepayers to share their expertise, lived experience, and ideas with PURA.
